Founded in 1993, Zhengzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone(ZETDZ) was approved as the first NETDZ in Henan Province in 2000. In recent years, ZETDZ has formulated the annual work plan and implementation plan of the battle to prevent and control air, water and soil pollution, integrating the construction of an eco-industrial demonstration park into the battle against pollution. Besides, ZETDZ has cultivated three green and low-carbon industrial clusters worth hundreds billion through implementing the green investment mechanism. ZETDZ has also established a national eco-garden city and continuously improved the green infrastructure construction, succeeded in strengthening ecological protection and improving environmental quality.
